Dr Syed Shah
Dr Syed Shah is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with over 20 years of experience across Australia and the UK.
He has a special interest in anxiety and mood disorders (including bipolar disorder), eating disorders, and the diagnosis and management of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. He has previously held positions as Head of The University of Queensland Ipswich Clinical School and as Staff Specialist in Child and Youth Mental Health Services in Ipswich, Queensland.
Syed was awarded the 2011 Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award at The University of Queensland, where he is a Senior Lecturer, and remains a Visiting Psychiatrist at several Headspace sites across Queensland and New South Wales.
Dr Yasmin Shah
Dr Yasmin Shah is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
She works with children, adolescents and their families to understand and treat anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder), eating disorders, and relational or attachment challenges — combining biological, psychological, social and cultural approaches.
Yasmin is trained in Circle of Security Parenting and Tuning into Kids, and has presented at the RANZCP Congress, the Asia-Pacific Conference on Women’s Mental Health, and the International Childhood Trauma Conference. She has returned to Ipswich, where she is proud to serve the community that helped shape her.
